This is a casual group of people with common interests, not a club, or an organization. There are no rules, fees or bylaws. We are guided by common sense, courtesy and kindness. Everyone is welcome to join as long you're of age (at least 21 years old) and responsible person. Please, no kids unless the organizer marks an event as kid-friendly!

If you take a hike with us, you are responsible for your own safety. If you break a leg, please do not hold anyone else liable. This is not a club, no money is exchanged and therefore everyone needs to take responsibility for themselves. There are for-money outdoors clubs in the town that will provide you with better wilderness safety guides, certified professionals to accompany your hikes and probably more choices of adventures - for a fee. Make sure you read all the fine-print!

As a courtesy to CHG members, when you request to join the group, please write a few lines stating why you want to join us. This will also serve as an introduction to the group and will be temporarily posted on our home page. If you need assistance obtaining or uploading a photo, please contact the organizer. We ask that you only join us if you intend to be active with the group.

IMPORTANT:
Safety and comfort of our active members is the top priority, so I reserve the right to remove any inactive, un-introduced and or those who join the group for wrong reasons. This is not a dating group. We are here to hike, socialize and make friends. If you primary goals are of a different nature, please considering joining one of other groups in the area that will better suit your needs. Thank you.
